Aug/Sept Update

Hey it's time to update the blog again! Well, things are going pretty good. The rest of August we pretty much worked on the potty training. On August 18th we got very special news! Kaitlyn is going to have a new cousin! The baby is due in April we are so excited! Then the beginning of September rolled around and Kaitlyn got all Potty trained! I was so happy when that day finally came! We went camping overnight up at Willard Bay over Labor Day weekend, it was windy and cold! But it turned out alright. Then Kaitlyn started Preschool on September 8th, she loves it! She often would tell me "I going to school tomorrow" When really it's a couple days later, she is sweet though. Today I picked her up from school and she gave me a couple of little candy that she had in her hand and went back to her teacher because she wanted a little toy, they get that on Wednesdays, she was bummed about that. Now we are getting near the end of September, my how time flies! Oh we went to the State Fair, Kaitlyn had fun, her and James went on the Ferris Wheel...Boy did she love that! She wanted to go on every ride after that! But we didn't do any other rides, she got a fish 2 times, this was a catch and release thing...The reason we went to that part was because my father-in-law is on some kind of fishing board that he volunteers to help kids learn how to fish.

Well James is staying busy working at ARUP and doing the Maintenance around the townhomes. I still continue to do mother duties and take care of Kaitlyn. Anyways...that's all for now.

Summer Events

Well it's about time I update this thing..Our summer as been pretty good too bad it's almost over :( Kaitlyn really loves being outside...We have gone to the zoo, to the park, played in the water in backyard. Kaitlyn really enjoyed the fireworks this year for the 4th and 24th of July. Oh we inherited a bird that my husband James found while working on one of the townhomes. We also have a fish(I know what you must be thinking) and no they are not close by each other. We got the fish around Memorial Weekend the bird at the end of July.

Kaitlyn's 3rd birthday was yesterday! My how time flies! I went shopping for her birthday yesterday and when James got home we had kind of an Ice Cream Cake but there was no cake part though! We are going to celebrate her birthday twice next week, one is going to be on Wednesday August 18th with James' family then the other one is going to be on Saturday August 21st with my family. It will be fun celebrating it with our families!

Still doing the Potty training and she does good when we ask her to go, but she has gone on her own about 5 times so it's still a work in progress but at least we are trying!

Snow?

Today is snowing!! Why does it have to snow? I am so ready for spring and the warm weather, we were getting good weather before today. I know that we need snow but I want warm weather to be able to be outside in the sunshine. Kaitlyn loved being outside when the weather was getting warmer.

Anyways...Things have been going pretty good, getting ready for Easter, I can't wait until my grandparents come up! I have not seen them since Thanksgiving, it will be so good to see them! I always enjoy their company when they are up here. We went swimming last Saturday for a ward activity, Katie sure had fun! The swimming pool was indoors. She loves to go swimming! She is always asking if we can go swimming.

She sure is growing so fast! She loves it when we read her books at night before she goes to bed. Last night, she was pretending she knew this book and would say some of the things that were in the book. The book was Called "Happy Mother's Day Mami" It's a Dora the Explorer book. She really loves the Dora Books. I am trying to work on the potty training with her. She knows how to go #2 in the toilet, she went #1 once though. I will just have to keep trying!

James stays pretty busy with his jobs and going to school. I am just doing my mother duties and cleaning and doing laundry. I can't believe that it's going to be April 1st tomorrow, Time sure flies! Hopefully Katie can get potty trained by summer then she can go to preschool! I am not crossing my fingers on that one, but hope it happens.

Update

I feel it's that time again to update...Well, Christmas came and gone, the decorations are put away. January is over! I can't believe January just flew real fast! Christmas was really awesome for Kaitlyn! She got toys, clothes, some movies. Last night, Kaitlyn asked where the christmas tree was and I told her that christmas was over and we had to put it away. I bet she wants Christmas all year round! Well, hopefully she will get out of that stage soon.

on January 21st Kaitlyn started getting a cold and I thought it was getting better by the weekend so last week on thursday I had a feeling that I should take her to the doctors. So, I took her to the doctors and she got tested for Strep, and it was positive. I am glad that I did go with my instincts and took her! She is on Antibiotics now and is feeling better. I am so thankfully to have those feelings or it would have gotten worse.

Well, let's hope this year will be a great year and hopefully we will get to do some fun things with Kaitlyn.

Long Over Due

Well, It's about time I updated this thing...The summer was pretty good, Kaitlyn loved being outside every chance she got. We went to Colorado in June to see James' Aunt and Uncle, Kaitlyn did alright, but it was a long drive both ways! I don't want to do that again. The visit there was really good and was able to see his aunt and uncle. Katie even let the uncle hold her a little bit, I was amazed because she doesn't like other people holding her. Halloween was really fun this year with Katie she was a bumblebee and a very cute one! She would want to grab the candy after it was being put into her Halloween bucket. Thanksgiving was alright, the food was yummy!

Now, Christmas is approaching, we set up the Christmas tree and put some decorations up. It is going to be a fun Christmas for Kaitlyn this year, right now she will say Santa Clause when she sees it on TV or Newspaper. She says Christmas Tree Big Tall. She got right into putting the decorations up on the tree when we started putting them up. She will say Snowman, we have this blown up Snowman that she wants us to plug in so she can see it inflate.

Kaitlyn is really talking a lot more and she knows how to say all of her ABC's except for W and she has been counting to 5 lately, she is getting to be smart. Right now, I am working with her on the potty training.

Update

It's been like three months since I updated...Well, things are going good with us. James is getting busy with people wanting their swamp coolers running. He is still working at ARUP and Northwest. I am doing things around the house, taking care of Kaitlyn. She is getting smart, she now knows how to turn on the DVD player with the remote. Last night, she was calling James' work on the phone because she wanted to talk to James. When I tell her where your eyes, she will point to them, same for ears, hands, toes, belly button, head, she knows sounds of some animals, like Horse, Duck, Cow, Dog, Cat, Monkey. I am starting to work with her a little on her ABC's. She loves to be outside! so when the weather is really warm, we let her play outside. She really loves Otter Pops, she would say Ah Bop if she wants one.

James and I just celebrated our 6th Anniversary last Friday. We went to dinner and it was very yummy! Time sure flies when you are doing your daily activities and think wow, we have been together that long. We took Kaitlyn to the zoo last saturday, it was the perfect day to go. She waved at the animals, we went on the Carasoul(like a merry go around) three times...She really loved it! She is just growing everyday and I am amazed and how smart she is getting. Well, hopefully soon we will be serious with the potty training, I am hoping that she will learn pretty quick.

Update

Hi, It's been two months since I have posted anything... Well, Christmas was good...Kaitlyn got quite a bit of stuff, she opened at least two presents but that was it! Anyways...It was a good christmas for all of us. New Years was okay...James had to work so It was just me and the baby home...I got to watch the ball drop.

Kaitlyn loves looking out of the windows and she has watched the snow fall, she has tried to say snow when seeing the snow fall. I can't wait until the weather warms up so she can go outside to play, she really loves being outside.

One thing that happened is we got rid of Isabelle or Izzy our dog last Saturday(Feb. 7th) The reason we got rid of her is because James and I didn't have time for her anymore. James is way busy working two jobs, taking a math class, trying to do maintenance work around the townhomes. He barely has time to be with family. I am busy trying to do housework and take care of Kaitlyn. There are others reasons why we got rid of her is we don't have a big enough yard for the dog, I am afraid that one day out of the blue she might bite Kaitlyn and I don't want her to go through what I went through. I have been bitten by a dog, the dog that bit me was a good dog for my parents and they never thought that in a million years that the dog wouldn't hurt me, but guess what it did...they got rid of the dog after it bit me. I don't want Kaitlyn to be scarred for life. James always said "she won't bite" I kept telling him you never know. I got tired of the hair being everywhere on our clothes, floor. Now since we don't have her anymore, Kaitlyn can go play in the backyard and not have to worry about dog poop being everywhere. So there is a lot of good that came out of this.

Kaitlyn can climb on her high chair now! She started doing it yesterday, when I was eating some chicken for lunch, Kaitlyn was already done with her lunch I had her down from her high chair. I was eating then I turned around and saw her standing up on her high chair. She is quite the dare devil wants to climb on everything. She said "Bubbles" when she was having her bath yesterday she actually said the word.

Kaitlyn and I have been sick all week with a cold so hopefully we can get better soon! Kaitlyn got sick I think with the stomach flu last month so hopefully after this cold we won't get sick for awhile.
